Directions

Peel the bananas and slice them thinly. Use ripe bananas.

In a large bowl, pour the water and lemon juice and mix well.

Put inside the bananas slices. This will prevent them from browning.

Drain them.

Place the bananas on a baking sheet.

Cover your bananas with insect netting to prevent insects from getting in.

Place the bananas in a sunny and well-ventilated place for a few days, depending on the humidity level and the amount of sunlight. Place the trays about 1 meter above the ground to allow good airflow and faster drying. Don't leave them outside overnight, as cool evening air can cause the bananas to absorb moisture again.

Ready when they are dry and not sticky.

Place in an airtight container.

You can use dried bananas during your hikes or in energy bars, muesli, on pies, muffins, cookies, cakes, salads, etc.
