Mango Syrup is a sweet, fruity reduction used to flavor coffees, iced teas, cocktails, and desserts. It can be quickly made at home with equal parts fresh/frozen mango, sugar, and water.

Directions

Peel the mangoes and cut the fresh flesh into small pieces.

In a saucepan, mix the water, the mangoes and the sugar (or the jaggery powder).

Boil the water and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

When the water boils, simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.

Strain the syrup into an airtight container. Squeeze the mangoes to extract as much juice as possible.

Keep refrigerated for at least 2 weeks.

Later pour the syrup into a glass with fresh water and mix well. You can also use it to flavor coffees, iced teas, cocktails, and desserts.
