Directions

In a saucepan, mix the water, the ground coffee and the sugar (or the jaggery powder).

You can add vanilla powder if you want to make vanilla-flavored coffee syrup.

You can add mint leaves if you want to obtain a coffee syrup with a minty taste.

You can add orange juice and orange zest if you want to make an orange-flavored coffee syrup.

You can add rose juice and cardamom powder if you want to obtain a coffee syrup with an exotic taste.

Boil the water and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

Once the water has boiled, let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.

Filter the syrup into an airtight container.

Keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. Enhance lattes, cold brews, and iced coffees.
