Directions

Roast the peanuts and roughly crush them into small pieces.

Roast the sesame seeds in a pan over low to medium heat until fragrant. Stir occasionally. This will take 2 to 3 minutes.

Once ready, remove them from the heat and set them aside on a plate. Let them cool.

Grind 80% of the sesame seeds. Reserve the remaining 20% to decorate the outside of the ladoos.

In a bowl, thoroughly mix the cardamom powder, the sesame powder, the crushed peanuts and the ghee.

Grate the jaggery if it is not already powdered.

Heat a saucepan over low heat with the water and jaggery. Stir the jaggery until it is dissolved in the water.

Turn off the heat and add the mixture. Mix well.

While the mixture is still warm, take a handful, squeeze it firmly and shape it into a ladoo.

Place the 20% sesame seeds on a plate.

Roll the ladoos in sesame seeds so that they adhere to the entire surface.

Store the ladoos in an airtight, dry container.

Ready! Enjoy these sesame seeds ladoos during the Makar Sankranti festival or savor them as a snack. Enjoy them with a hot or cold drink.
