Sattu Cookies are a healthy, high-protein, and nutrient-dense snack, often considered a “superfood” biscuit in India due to the use of roasted gram flour (sattu).

Directions

Soften the margarine until it resembles cream (but not liquid).

Mix the eggs with the icing sugar.

Add the margarine and mix until creamy.

Add the flour, the tsampa or sattu, the salt and the baking powder and mix by hand for 5 minutes.

Preheat the oven for 30 minutes: 180 degrees.

Put the dough in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Take out the dough, roll it with 5mm thickness and cut the cookies.

Bake them in the oven at180 degrees for 25 minutes.
