Directions

Remove the pits from the dates and cut them.

Chop the almond and the pistachio.

Soak the millet flour in water for at least half an hour. The longer you let it soak, the faster it will cook.

Heat the butter (or ghee) in a saucepan, add the dates and cook for two minutes.

In the same saucepan, heat the milk. After it boils for the first time, reduce the heat to medium and let it boil for 1 to 2 minutes.

Add the millet flour.

Cook over low to medium heat. Stir and scrape occasionally. Cooking time will be approximately 10 to 12 minutes.

When it is cooked and the mixture becomes thick, add the sugar (or cane sugar), mix and let it cook for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat.

Finally, add the cardamom (or cinnamon) powder, almonds, and pistachios. Mix well.

Ready! Serve hot. Enjoy your millet pudding with a hot or cold drink.
