Directions

Peel and cut the kiwis.

Chop the coriander leaves.

Heat a little mustard oil over low heat and roast the fenugreek seeds, the nigella seeds, the cumin seeds, the mustard seeds and the fennel seeds until they become fragrant and a dark golden color.

Add the kiwis, the red chili powder, the turmeric powder, the salt and the coriander leaves. Mix well. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the water and the sugar (or powdered jaggery). Stir well to dissolve the sugar. Let it cook for a few minutes. Remove from the heat.

Add the lemon juice.

Put all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend.

Ready! Enjoy the pickles as an accompaniment to many dishes: rice dishes, pasta dishes, meat/fish dishes, vegetable dishes, buckwheat porridge (dhindo), maize porridge (makai ko dhindo).
