Directions

Finely chop the onions and the small green chilies.

In a large bowl, mix the onions, the red chili powder and salt. Make sure to separate the layers of onions.

Add the green chilies.

Heat the mustard oil over low heat and roast the nigella seeds, the fennel seeds and the cumin seeds until fragrant and a dark golden color.

Pour the hot oil over the onions and mix well.

Add the lemon juice and the white vinegar. Mix well.

Ready! Enjoy the pickles with dal baht or other dishes.
