Directions

To marinate the mutton, mix in a bowl the lemon juice, the vinegar, the plain yogurt (or curd) (optional) and all the spices (garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt and black pepper).

Cut the mutton into cubes.

Add the mutton cubes to the bowl and mix well.

Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.

Prepare the grill (or preheat the oven at 190 degrees).

Slice the capsicum and the onions (optional).

Thread the mutton onto skewers. You can add a slice of onion and capsicum between each cube if you like.

Grill the mutton or bake it until cooked through.

Ready! Enjoy with rice, salads, vegetables curry and/or pickles.
